Hi! My name is Maria Luisa Berbert, I am currently a high school student in Brazil, studying at the British School of Rio de Janeiro. I’ve lived in Brazil for nearly my whole life, and I am grateful for having seen the beauties of my country. It brings me joy to be able to share them here. I am very eager to be joining the Business Pro Culture initiative as it is a wonderful way to share Brazil’s culture and traditions with the rest of the world!

Hello! I’m Maria Clara Gimenez and I am currently a senior student at The British School RJ.  I am Brazilian and was always raised in Brazil. I am beyond excited to share some of our Brazilian cultures, beliefs and current news of our country. I truly believe this is an incredible opportunity for us to learn about different countries and share our point of view about our beautiful nation.

Daniela Sztajnbok- Country Leader

Hi! My name is Daniela and I’m currently a high school student in United States. Originally, I am from Brazil but moved to the US in the end of 2021, after living for 16 years there. What I love about this project is that only in a website you can learn about different cultures that you are not familiar with, which in my personal opinion is extremely important.

Overview of Brazil:

Brazil is the largest country in South America and the fifth largest country in the world by both area and population. It covers an area of 8.5 million square kilometers and has a population of over 213 million people. It is known for its diverse geography, including the Amazon rainforest, extensive coastline, and the Brazilian Highlands.

The official language of Brazil is Portuguese, and its currency is the Brazilian real. Brazil is a federal republic with a presidential system of government. The president is both the head of state and the head of government. Moreover, Brazil has a multi-party system, with several political parties represented in the National Congress.

Brazil has a diverse economy, with a mix of agriculture, industry, and services. It is one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of coffee, soybeans, and beef. Other major industries include automobile manufacturing, electronics, and textiles. Brazil is also a major player in the global energy market, with significant reserves of oil and gas.

Furthermore, Brazil has a rich culture, influenced by indigenous, African, and European traditions. Music and dance are an important part of Brazilian culture, with styles such as samba, bossa nova, and forró being popular both within Brazil and around the world. Brazil is also known for its colorful and vibrant festivals, such as Carnival.

However, Brazil also faces a number of challenges, including high levels of inequality, poverty, and crime. Despite these challenges, Brazil remains an important player in the global economy and a major cultural hub in South America.
