Filipino Food

Filipino food is rich in flavorful culture passed down from many many generations. Heavily influenced by Spanish cuisine, many traditional Filipino dishes are stewed and braised with a rich sauce comprised of fresh herbs and spices picked directly from fields.

Lechon
One of the most iconic Filipino dishes, it is always present in huge family gatherings or parties. A suckling pig is slow-roasted over an open fire, filled with all kinds of herbs and spices. Crunchy outside and juicy inside make the lechon a must-try dish of the Philippines.

Lumpia
A Filipino delicacy love by the people. Lumpia is the local version of spring rolls-wrapped in a thin paper-like layer, stuffed with all kinds of ingredients: from steamed fish to prawn & crab, even unusual flavors like mango! It is usually deep fried for around ten minutes, then beautiful golden-brown color can be seen. There are many variants of lumpia, but, nonetheless, it remains one of the Philippines' most-loved foods!
